He waited almost fifty years to be tamed by a woman. An honest confession of the actor Jiří Langmajer

Jiří Langmajer, a native of Pilsen, is one of the most charismatic personalities of the Czech art world, many a woman's knees bend when they meet him in person, and they also adore him in acting roles, whether on stage or on the screen. Langmajer knows about his attraction to the opposite sex and at a certain stage of his life he used it a lot. In his 23-year marriage to math teacher Kamila, he lacked freedom, wished to live outside the capital, and often pursued his unsatisfied desires at parties and with charming women and girls.

From a grumpy actor to a cool dad

Even though you are a sad actor he didn't want to break up his family, after years of inner torment he prioritized his own needs over his two daughters and his wife. Deciding to get out of a relationship and a life that didn't please him was the first step in 2012 to turning him into a cool guy. Today, even his daughters can see that having a cheerful and happy dad who lives in the village for them was worth the difficult period when he brought confusion into their lives.

The second step was to fall in love with fellow actor Adéla Gondíková, who fit into his desired setting like a missing lego block. They became friends during the filming of the movie Doctor from Hippo Lake, and the love adventure did not take long. They got married two years ago before a J.A.R concert in the presence of 300 friends whom they invited to a party called Kouba se žení.

He got a chance to charm

“I've been acting like an absolute jerk for years. I just loved acting and felt that if I had one leading role after another and did two hundred and fifty shows a year, I could afford anything. In short, no matter how I behave, my work success will excuse everything," Langmajer once admitted in an interview for the magazine Instinkt.

Adéla's wife, however, made up her own mind about his character, she did not judge in advance, even though there were various stories about Jiří in the acting world. It's also because she gave him the opportunity to reveal his inner self that their relationship works so well. He could convince her that he was the one she wanted to live and grow old with. They bought a retriever puppy a year ago, and their grandson Timotej, the son of his older daughter Tereza, visits them in their house near Prague.

Jiří shares his privacy

We learn all this from Jiří's Instagram account called "Official Langošův profile", which he started more for fun than for self-promotion. The actor has over 100,000 followers and, in addition to occasionally posting an unwanted video with his private parts exposed, he also often posts with his wife Adéla.

Most recently, it was a series of three photos from a vacation together, to which he wrote: "Beautiful birthday angel..." and added 10 love smileys. This message was of course addressed to his lovely Adéla, and he added an unexpected confession to the congratulatory message from the writer Radka Třeštíková: "she saved me..." Damn the spelling, Jiří Langmajer's message about his feelings for his wife says it all. And the response from the divorcing author of several book bestsellers adds to the weight of Langmaier's message: "I still don't understand how she managed to get you together without using violence... Carry her on your hands!"

Even before the official publication of their relationship, Jiří and Adéla began to appear together in 2013 on the stages of the Palace Theater in Prague, where they played lovers in a play called Yes, it's not easy. Since then, they have also met as actors in the spectacular performance of Mamma Mia! and other musicals Long live the spirits! and Time of the Roses. Even their joint work commitment did not break their relationship, and it seems that Jiří Langmajer had to wait almost until he was fifty to be finally tamed by the right woman.
