Heidi Janků (59) has lived in a two-storey family house on the outskirts of Prague for exactly twenty years. After two decades, the singer decided it was time to radically transform the entire ground floor. The kitchen got a modern look and appliances, the living room got new furniture and layout.
"I have changed everything. It took me quite a long time, so I decided that if I started the reconstruction, everything in the end must look completely different than it looked, "she told Blesk Heidi Janků, how she thought about transforming her house. The singer, originally from the Ostrava region, was the first to embark on the reconstruction of the kitchen. It was originally wooden in combination with blue. "It looked very modern twenty years ago. And since I didn't cook much in it, it was also quite well-preserved, "smiles Heidi Janků, who is well aware that trends have changed over time. The rustic kitchen has therefore given up and brought it closer to current demands for design and equipment. Currently, the singer's kitchen combines a dominant gray color with light wood and smooth surfaces. "I like gray because you can combine anything with it.

One can give her brown, purple, red and yellow and it will still look good, "is a convinced singer who cooks very well in the new kitchen. "I'm already used to the induction hob and similar conveniences that I didn't have here before," the little brunette praises modern technology. The only thing left of the original equipment in the kitchenette is the solid wood dining table with four upholstered colored chairs around it. "It occurred to me that the dining area was the only one well-designed, so we tuned everything to it. The gray color seemed good to me, because gray is also in the chairs, "the singer does not deny her aesthetic feeling.Similarly, Heidi Janků radically changed the living room. As its centerpiece, she chose a large sofa in a distinctive red color, which contrasts so beautifully with the various shades of gray in the room. Unlike the original seating in simplicity, the singer placed a new sofa in the corner against the wall. But delivering a spacious seat was a relatively big adventure.

"I bought it in the biggest lockdown, when it was not allowed from district to district. I bought it in a store in Pilsen over the Internet and I had no idea if it would fit in here, if it was not too soft or hard, "Heidi Janků admitted her fears, which fortunately none came true. The singer is also proud of a small coffee table with a decorated metal surface on three wooden legs. In his place stood a teak table, but according to Heidi Janků he was out of style. "I went shopping for a long time before I found the right one," the singer is excited about the design piece that added the right dot to the interior. Although Heidi Janků initially calculated the cost of the reconstruction of the kitchen and living room at half a million, in the final she paid about a hundred thousand more. "It's a plus or a minus, I haven't definitely read it yet. I always sent partial amounts and I'd rather not even see how much I was sending, "she concluded the look at Heidi Janků's new home.
