What anti-drug measures have ended, what bans are still in placeExactly 131 million crowns is the highest price for a pair of long-neglected houses in Milady Horáková Street in Brno. This was recently decided by the city's first public electronic auction. The winning bidder was YD Real Estate Delta, whose executive told Deník Rovnost the company's future plans for houses.

The auction of houses from the lucrative Brno area thus brought in more than four times the amount of the expert opinion. "This is an important part of Brno, which, thanks to our intentions, we can give a new face and contribute to the development of this location, which is very close to the center," said the company's CEO Lubomír Pecl.
The investor is aware that one of the houses is listed. "This may complicate the reconstruction of both buildings, but today we can reveal that we are planning to build apartments. Both houses are in very poor condition, which we want to change and leave a unique imprint, "said Pecl.
Unique auction in Brno: the winner will pay four times the estimated price for dilapidated housesThe buildings located at Milady Horáková's addresses 17 and 19 have been dilapidated in recent years. Four years ago, city officials planned to build sixty to seventy small flats for pensioners. The reconstruction was to include an extension of two floors. Both buildings were to create one comprehensive complex that would serve as a nursing home.
Unnecessary assets
City officials withdrew from the plan due to high costs. In March 2017, there was talk of a preliminary indicative investment of less than one hundred million crowns.
The auction of the 131 million obtained will become the income of the city's housing stock. The money will go to the construction of new apartments, whose investor and owner will be Brno.
Opponents of government measures passed through Brno: We have had enough. These are our children, they calledThrough electronic auctions, city officials plan to raise at least tens of millions for other unnecessary assets. "We are considering the former administrative building of the waterworks headquarters at Hybešova 36, an abandoned complex in Bieblova Street or plots under the golf course in Jinačovice in the Brno region," said the mayor's deputy Jiří Oliva.
The objects for the public auction must be approved by the Brno representatives. The starting amount is then determined by an expert opinion. "It is assumed that more bidders can achieve a higher price than the opinion states by auctioning. The transfer of ownership will then take place with a hammer, "said the municipality's spokesman Filip Poňuchálek.
