CopyOndřej Fous is a gardener and also a campaigner for the rights of trees in the city. Because according to him, #treedecoration.
"We treat trees as an environment, as if it were a bench or a basket," says Ondřej Fous, landscape architect and gardener from the Ctěnice Castle Horticulture. At the same time, the tree is alive and something is bothering it in the city - what exactly?
We talked about what the trees suffer from. And why do we make them grow in a space where they feel like hens in a cage. We also discussed several recent tree cases. Should the maple tree on the Smetana embankment be protected or cut down?
And how do you recognize a happy tree? "It's growing," Ondřej Fous explains simply. Every year by twenty thirty centimeters. They also advise what we can do for the trees in the streets. Take an interest in them, alert politicians to their needs, or at least water them occasionally. "Five ten liter buckets, you can do a good deed," he says.
We talked about trees, about the history of parks. About what floral trends were in 1890 and what they are now. And since September is approaching, and therefore the gardening season, there are also gardening tips. What to buy for the garden? And what to do if you only have a flower in a pot at home? By the way, today's maids are produced almost in a factory way. “Planting machines, looted peat, smart fertilizers, plastic flower pots. It is eaten in huge quantities," says Ondřej Fous. Such flowers grow quickly and die quickly. How to recognize them? How to help them? You'll learn that too in this gardening hack.
