The sparsely populated area of Femundsmark with Lake Femunden (third largest in Norway) attracts beautiful and pure nature and hunting.It is an area where the whites thrive, birds from the Gorgee family.Their white feathers are beautifully lost in white moss, but for dog hunters are not these "mimicry" no obstacle.

The cottage is already quite old, before the transformation with minimal comfort.

Young spouses like to hunt birds, they also have hunting dogs, so it's no wonder they bought an old cottage in this area.But: the cottage seems too dark inside, they lack outdoor seating and would welcome some modernization.Little wood, old cooker and kerosene lighting are no longer attracted.

Therefore, with tension they expected their construction to improve Halvor Bakke and his team, did not dare to transform the cottage themselves.

Big windows, but also a lot of black

Halvor again embarked on modernization by filling the cottage with a lot of black colors, from wooden floorboards in the bedroom, black furniture of living part and in the kitchenette, but also on the large carpet.

The designer is convinced that black color is modern and allows easy to combine other colors.Thanks to the heat pump, there is now an electric current in the cottage, and thus also chandeliers and lamps, but most people have different ideas about a bright interior…

The cottage also changed the layout, two small rooms were abolished, fortunately the wooden partitions were removed very quickly.In the bedroom there is such a beautiful large double bed type boxspring with lots of pillows as Halvor likes it.

The kitchen has increased significantly, the fridge with the freezer and the electric oven and the hob.

Sitting behind the wind

Gustav embarked on the terrace, which is almost his specialty.It protects from the wind resting on one side a wooden screen, which consists of parts stacked as a kit (can be purchased in stores with DIY supplies).Direct output by French windows from the cottage is certainly practical.

As a reward for the fact that the owner of the cottage was taken to hunt white, Gustav added a funny dress for the dress he made from old boards.It was their second recycling, because they were originally used on the old bridge in Tulse, after its dismantling the owner took the couple to use them on the lining in the cottage.

Another outdoor seating was made by Ole, the wooden octagonal bench around the tree was the first thing the couple admired.
