Theon Design is a British designer who creates similar projects as the American Singer, and at first glance you wouldn't even know the difference. It is also a extensively modernized 911 based on the 964 generation, but with classic elements.
Each car is created at the specific request of the customer and the HK002 project is only the third. It is not without interest that this is the second car heading to Hong Kong. The creation of each car is similar to that of Singer or any modifier who renovates classic cars and remodels them to individual order.
The basis is a decent used 911 generation 964, which is completely dismantled and begins a lengthy process of renovation and modification. Each car will take about 18 months to rebuild. All damage to the load-bearing parts is then repaired, additional reinforcements are used, and only then the transition to body modeling follows.
In addition to classic sheet metal, aluminum, glass fibers and carbon composites can also be used. The customer of this 911 wanted extended fenders in the style of the 911 S / T model, the design of the front part is inspired by the extended hood of the first 911. The electrically adjustable mirrors are then a copy of those on the Speedster concept from 2018.
The interior is in the spirit of the classic 911, but of course there are new seats and everything has been thoroughly redesigned with emphasis on the quality of materials and workmanship. The car does not lack air conditioning, audio system and modern electronic equipment or better powerful headlights.
The Theon Design Editor also offers several engines. It can have volumes of 3.8 to 4.0 liters, atmospheric or supercharged. HK002 received a 3.8-liter unit with an output of 371 hp and a direct-shift G50 transmission from the 993 generation, which was completely refurbished.
Prices depend on individual client requirements, but usually start at around nine million crowns.
