Brno Charita recently launched the posliprani.cz portal, where everyone can write their wishes or words of support for the residents of the affected municipalities in the south of Moravia.

"We will print the cards before Christmas and deliver them to people. We believe that this way they will feel supported and that many people are still thinking about them," explained the director of the Brno Diocesan Charity, Oldřich Haičman.

By December, people contributed 360 million crowns to the charity collection for post-tornado relief. The organization has already distributed a quarter of a billion to the needy.

"The special commission continues to evaluate not only the degree of damage to houses, but also the social situation of individual households. Additional financial support is directed primarily to the most vulnerable groups, such as seniors, single mothers, families with small children or people with disabilities. Charity coordinators help people directly in the villages on a daily basis," explained Charity spokesperson Lucie Čapská.
