Mrs. Belinda lived in a busy, lively, in a way of a bohemian town of Fitzroy. As years of age, however, began to get tired of this life and longed for some simplification, perhaps silence. But mainly after returning to nature.

Yet she did not want to give up life in the city. She wanted to live with her son's family. He seemed to have a nut to disabilities in front of him.

In the end, however, they were architects who helped her to solve the situation cleverly. They managed to find a house with a huge garden that passed behind him.And that was exactly what the lady needed.

The original house architects reconstructed so that the son with his family could move into it.For the client he built a smaller house in which she lives in the back of the garden.

The garden helped to adjust the paradise with lots of practical raised beds to make the work on them as comfortable as possible. There is also a common pavilion between the two houses.

Original house

The wood lined with a house from the Victorian era was the house of the workers. It is north (which is as advantageous in the southern hemisphere as in our conditions south) and required more thorough reconstruction and adjustment of the layout so that the family benefits it as much as possible.

The architects therefore moved its residential zone (kitchen with dining room and living room) from the back forward, which now have a view of the street and front garden and at the same time have the best supply of daylight.

Part of the change of the house was also the removal of some walls.Although the front garden with the veranda has not changed much in their appearance, as architects warn, their function has changed - originally ornamental parts of the home have become a productive, work and recreational space that connects the life of a family with life in a very friendly street with a community of pleasant people.

In the back of the house, where there is more peace and privacy, there is a new bedroom and bathroom.

Pavilion

On the way across the house, a visitor will come to the garden where he has a pavilion on his right hand.It is in fact a multipurpose common building serving as a library, but also as a guest room. The laundry is also stored here.

A new house

The new house for Mrs. Belinda has the appearance united with the pavilion. And they both reflect what is characterized by the Greenery Garden - the interconnection of two main burnt materials: yellowish bricks and terracotta tiles that cover the upper part of the facades of houses and roofs and gave the project the name.

The bricks are built in the garden and some plants are set in clay pots.

The interior of the house is then divided into two floors, similar to the main corridor, which is directed to the entrance to Zadní Street. On the one hand there is a kitchen with a dining zone, on the other there is a living room with a follow -up study and bathroom.Upstairs above the kitchen are a bedroom with a dressing room and a large bathroom.
