The details matter, that's a known fact. But some are very difficult to implement, which is also true. Especially in construction. Such a detail is, for example, the corner of the wall or plasterboard partitions. He can torment and looks awkward when he's not perfectly straight or even battered. In addition, it tends to crack in the most inconvenient place. However, the Knauf product can reliably resolve the situation. The actual implementation was carried out by the company Techinterier - Reconstruction in Prague.

Zinc sheet tool

The principle of a perfectly executed and strong corner consists in the use of a protective profile, which is made of thin galvanized sheet metal and which is inserted into the outer or inner corner of the partition according to current needs. Galvanized sheet metal, unlike the often used aluminum or plastic, is very strong and rigid. The profile is provided on the outside with a paper tape with fine perforations, the purpose of which is to improve the adhesion, which is really excellent. The protective profile is glued with a special Knauf Fill & Finish Light sealant or Knauf Super Finish sealant, as you can see in the picture. Once the profile is glued, it will grind with the same sealant on the outside or inside. Further processing, ie grinding after drying and complete curing, can be scheduled until the next day.

Roller for professionals

To speed up the work, Knauf also offers a practical roller, with the help of which you can fit the profile perfectly into the inner or outer corner. It is, of course, designed for professionals because it costs something. But the work goes so fast that neither the processor nor the investor is surprised. But the main thing is that the result is a perfectly straight and durable corner.

Knauf always has something extra

Knauf galvanized corner profiles with paper tape can also be used when renovating old plasters. The result is the same. The only restriction is: do not use the profile to connect the ceiling to the wall. An expansion joint must be granted at this point, for which a separation tape can be applied. In addition to rectangular corner profiles, Knauf also supplies a so-called "flexible profile", called Flexible Metal Tape. The profile has a longitudinal central perforation, according to which it can be shaped to any angle. It can be used, for example, when connecting sloping attics.
