The sails appeared mainly on the houses that people intend to reconstruct. They have become a scarce material, provided for the people by the municipalities on Friday.

Since Thursday, people on some houses have managed to repair the trusses, and in some cases even replace some of the tiles. However, some of the houses are so demolished that the structural engineer decided to demolish them. There are 61 of them in total so far.

Demolition work in the municipalities is gradually beginning. The tornado took away many people in South Moravia not only roofs over their heads and tangible property, but also memories and stories connected with their homes. "It's not about the matter of the house, it's about the people, the memories, the past and the future that people from the places where they live and grow up," Hrušek's native Zdeňka described to ČTK. Thanks to the quick help, the rubble will probably disappear in a few days, the clearing work is progressing very quickly, as well as temporary roof repairs. What can't be returned so quickly are trees. All grown up are gone. "Where the tornado has passed, it's a plain, it's a very sad sight," she added.

Interior Minister Jan Hamáček said on Friday that a total of about 1,000 houses had been damaged in southern Moravia.
