When the man died, I divided the children's house, cottage and the apartment we had and built new housing in nature.It was a large building to serve as a house and a cottage at the same time.I was hoping to meet the whole family there.

But my daughter eventually stayed in Prague, so a few years ago I decided to sell the house and build something less closer to my son and grandchildren who live in Budweis.

What took so long?

What changes in the floor plan did you require?

I chose a type house but I wanted to make a lotOf changes in it.For example, I wanted the kitchen, bedroom and entrance to the east - I like the sun'srays awakening me.Plus the east side doesn't blow so much, so you don't have to clear the snow so much in winter.I have already tried this in my lifetime.

I also wanted toremodel the utilityroom,Originally should be next to the bedroom, but that would disturb me, so I had it moved next to the kitchen.

How did you choose the land?What was your criteria?

How was the building permit?Did you handle it yourself?

The construction companyOffered me that they had a lady who would help me set up, and I agreed and had it without worrying.

How long did it take?

About two months.But I had mostOf the things prepared, I foundOut in advance what they would need at the authorities, and the documents have prepared.

How do you heat the house?

I am from a gas family so I insistedOn the gas, although today everything is done more in electricity.And I have underfloor heating, I didn't wantradiators, they would take up much space.So I have a condensing gas boiler with water heating and hose divorced in floors (hot water underfloor heating).

I have a wood stove that I brought from the cottage.Beautifully heated it in the winter.

What is your experience with noise inside the house?

I do not have a problem with it.Even when I suddenly have all four grandchildren, which isOften, I do not perceive more noise than in a brick house.

So do you live well in a wooden building?

Do you still have plans with your house or garden?
