* Ferdinand Hlaváček (1822-1897) founded a garden in Jaroměř on the site of a former pond in 1859. In addition to growing vegetables , he was engaged in the sale of seeds. He bought seeds in the country and abroad.

* František Černý (1865-1925) married into the family. In 1888, he became a gardener for Baron Rothschild in the Hohe Warte park in Vienna, from whose greenhouses flowers were ordered for Austrian castles. He also worked for another noble family in Poland. He met Maria Hlaváčková in Jaroměř and married her. He had no relation to seed growing and preferred to flowers.

* František Černý (1896-1968) established a horticultural profession despite his father and returned to seed growing. He married Maria Mojžíšová (1903-1987) from a large horticultural family from Náchod and together, after his father's death, they specialized in the production of seeds. They wanted to compete with German companies. They bred petunias, later also begonias, lilies of the valley, salvia, cyclamen and cineraria. The couple also launched their first petunia variety Karkulka. Marie Černá devoted her whole life to breeding tuberous begonias. The family had to lease the business to the state in 1950, ten years later it was expropriated.

* Jan Černý (1928-1980) studied at a gardening school in Lednice in Moravia, where he met his wife Alenka (1928-2000). He continued at the University of Agriculture in Brno, where he and his wife devoted themselves to hybrid varieties. In 1959, they launched the first Turov F1 hybrid begonia on the market, and achieved a number of new varieties through breeding.

* The company returned to the Černý rok family in 1991 as part of restitutions. At present, the brothers Josef Černý (1959) and Jan Černý st work there. (1957) with his wife Vlasta (1955) and their son Jan (1978) and Jakub (1991). The company remained a specialized seed company. On the basis of its own breeding activity, it produces seeds, it also has a wide range from other suppliers. Since 1934, they have bred more than 125 original varieties of petunias, begonias, cycads, lilies of the valley and other types of flowers in Jaroměř.
