The Moravian-Silesian Region offers testing in schools as well as vaccinees
The Moravian-Silesian Region offers voluntary antigen testing in the schools it establishes. Pupils and teachers who are not required to test because they have been vaccinated or have undergone testing in the last six months can test themselves. In this way, the region wants to intensify efforts to stop the spread of coronavirus in schools, which in many cases have become outbreaks. For these purposes, it will distribute about 55,000 test sets to its school facilities.
On 22 November this year, the Ministry of Health of the Czech Republic announced an extraordinary measure which stipulates the obligation to test in schools. Antigenic tests must be performed by school staff who have not been vaccinated against the covid and those who have not had the disease in the last six months. For these purposes, the regions regularly receive the required number of test sets from the state, which are then distributed to the municipality with extended powers.
Those interested in voluntary testing will be able to test next week. The region is preparing another round of voluntary testing for the beginning of next year.
Testing is voluntary for those who have been vaccinated and for those who have undergone covid in the last six months, and for minors only with the consent of legal guardians.
