Tennis players Barbora Krejčíková and Kateřina Siniaková have had an exceptional sporting year. To the triumph at the Grand Slam Roland Garros and the Olympic Games in Tokyo, they also added the title of the Tournament of Champions, which they still lacked in their career collection. And it doesn't have to be the last, as the Czech players in Guadalajara, Mexico indicated at the end of an excellent season.

“The only thing that made me the saddest is that I didn't do any of the singles here. So it was difficult, but this certainly made up for it nicely, so I'm looking forward to the next moments we'll experience together," describes Krejčíková.

“Of course, Paris was very emotional, even more so because Bára also won the singles. I remember that I was very nervous before the match and I told Bára everything nicely, but it turned out very well. And of course the Olympics is something extra that you don't just experience. The person represents the Czech Republic, which I respect very much. And when we got the gold medal, it was very beautiful and I was very happy that we succeeded. Now I'm happy that we can end the season with a trophy," Kateřina Siniaková, who will be world number one in women's doubles at the end of 2021, also praises the end of the season.

Apparently, he is eager to improve his singles ranking as well, he is roughly in the middle of the elite hundred. Barbora Krejčíková, on the other hand, needs to choose a good tournament program in order to stay at the top, not run out of strength and avoid injuries.

But she is not thinking about giving up doubles next season. "It's definitely difficult to play singles and doubles, but if you do well in both categories and you play well and enjoy it, why should you stop playing one category. So I hope that we will start it again next year and that we will continue to enjoy it," says Barbora Krejčíková.

Although now both tennis players are looking forward to a rest. "To go away, to the beach, for the warmth, the sun, to lie on the beach, to add some unhealthy food so that we can finally enjoy it," she plans for her teammate Barbora Krejčíková as well.
