We started to revive the band in 2000 and see it as its new era.From the original line -up we remained two, Pepa Kůstka, whom I consider to be the most personal guitarist in our country, and I.We put the year in the title with respect to other old members so that they can use the original name if they ever wanted to revive the gene.But at the moment none of them plays.In fact.I just decided to sing.We took friends from other bands together.

The gene was a hard rock and blues band in the past.Has it changed?

I think the new era affects us especially in the sound of the band and in the stage presentation.We kept a third of the original repertoire and added it with new songs.In principle, however, we are still based on our favorite styles.

As a singer, you became famous for years ago in the role of Anáš in the musical Jesus Christ Superstar.How do you remember it?

Each of the musicians promised to play Jesus or Judas at the time of Jesus Christ Superstar.I was too old to do it but Anáš was a role for me.I signed a 100 % contract without alternation, so I played four years in the evening after the evening.The singers thought the musical would run for two months and then would not be interested in it.But they were wrong in that.

With the same team, I was doing the musical Evita, where I alternated as Magaldi.In the musical Jirka Bares Romeo and Juliet I sang the Duke of Verona.The Spiral Theater, where it was played, but unfortunately they took the floods and with them ended the musical.I haven't appeared in others anymore.

Was it a good experience?

Sure.Thanks to the musicals, I also built a future profession.I played every night but I had time during the day.One person came to me in the ninety -four year and told me if I didn't want to translate as a well -speaking English.I started to pursue this, and later to edit dubbing dialogues, and it still feeds me to this day.

Your music career is very rich.Did it lead you to any fundamental knowledge?

I found out that we just didn't have at the Anglo -Sassy.There is sometimes exceptional talent, but there are hundreds of bands in Britain and one better than the other.We lack ideas and ferocity, even though there are also hundreds of bands.
