Self-picking of fruit is increasingly popular among Czechs. People go to orchards and fields to pick juicy fruits with gusto. Blueberry self-harvests are now in full swing. Although there aren't many places where you can pick the balls yourself, many berry growers do at least sell them.
If you are interested in self-collection, however, it is better to call ahead and make an appointment. After that, you can look forward to seeing how many sweet balls you can pick up yourself. Also, if you are already interested in picked fruit, it is better to find out in advance whether the fruits are still available.

Although self-harvesting in this orchard near Uherské Hradiště did not start this year due to the small harvest, it is possible to buy blueberries here. The price per kilo is 180 crowns. "We still have and sell blueberries," confirmed the company's employee.

Blueberry paradise
Blueberry Paradise, located in Mosty u Kunžak in Jindřichhohradecky, also sells ripe berries to their lovers. They started selling blueberries here at the end of July. Unfortunately, you can't pick the fruit yourself here. They are worried about their bushes here. A kilo of picked blueberries in your own container will cost 190 crowns here.

Also, this farm in Semila only sells blueberries. They are currently reporting that they have purple berries. Here you will pay 160 crowns per kilo. However, it is better to inquire in advance by phone whether the fruit is ripe and for sale. "It's good when people call each other. That way they don't have to weigh the journey unnecessarily," advises one of the farm's employees.
